F-450 Super Duty

The F-350 and F-450 are very similar, but there are a few differences. They both offer the same three cab configurations Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab. Unlike the F-350, the F-450 only comes in a dual-rear-wheel.

The F-450 offers the 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel as well as the 6.8L 3-Valve V10 gasoline engine. The 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine delivers 330 horsepower and a massive 750 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is paired with Ford’s TorqShift SelectShift six-speed automatic transmission. The 6.8L Triton 3-Valve V10 engine offers 288 horsepower and 424 lb.-ft. of torque. Featuring the TorqShift-G SelectShift six-speed automatic transmission.

The chassis cab can have a cab-ao-axle of either 60, 84, 108 or 120 inches.

The maximum towing capacity of the Ford F-450 is 17,500 lbs. Its maximum payload is 9,850 lbs. The maximum 5th wheel towing is 26,400 lbs.

Maybe the most significant difference between the F-350 and F-450 is the wide track front end on the F-450. The wide track front end offers a little more stability in towing and offers a smaller turning radius.
